Holiday Programmes

Spend the holidays having loads of fun.

Be Curious

The holidays are the perfect time for adventures.

Our holiday adventures provide a chance for existing and new Gang members to get out and be active during the Holidays or a cheeky day off school.

Running for 3-5 days and in different locations our programme is definately NOT school. Every day is planned to include loads of activities, games and socialising with new friends.

In every camp we include a beach session, an active session and an adventure or two. Constantly engaging and exiciting, you can expect tired, yet smiling kids at the end of each day.

When I asked charlotte what her favorite bit of it was… she said ‘everything’!

Drop off and pick up
Drop off and pick up points will vary within HK Island depending on the plan for each specfic day.
What to wear
We do not have a uniform. The kids are free to dress as they like. However, they should be encouraged to make smart choices in relation to the weather and that week’s activity.

Good shoes are a must!

What to bring
Every kid should have a backpack with a full water bottle, a couple of snacks and a hat if it is a hot and sunny day.

We also suggest that they apply sunscreen and/or insect repellent before arriving and keep extra in their packs.

Communications
We will confirm your child’s place in the camp via email and send out details of location and what to bring in the week leading up to the camp.  At the end of each Camp, a video of our adventures will be shared via Whatsapp.
Illness or shedule clash
If your child cannot make it, please let us know. We always wait for the whole Gang to arrive before we set off!
Payment
Payment can be made via Bank Transfer (HSBC), PAYME (HSBC) App or Cheque.

We ask that full payment is made 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp. Places will only be secured once we have received your application form AND proof of payment.

Weather
Sessions are automatically cancelled during Black rain warnings or the hoisting of the No.8 Typhoon Signal. If the Gang is in progress while a severe weather warning is hoisted we will keep them safe until you can collect them or they can be handed into the care of a Guardian.  Please always assume that we will cancel if Red rain is hoisted. However, if we think it will be safe and Black rain is unlikely to be hoisted then we will go ahead (with caution).  Updates will be sent out via email and/or the WhatsApp groups.  In case of a Typhoon signal 3, assume we are on unless you hear otherwise. Sorry to say that credit refund will not be issued for cancellation caused by inclement weather.
Cancellation & Refunds
Refunds, credit letters or make up sessions will NOT be given for non-attendance of programmes/event for any reason.

Refunds and/or credit letters will be issued if a doctors note is provided to prove the student is unable to attend due to injury or prolonged illness.

All other refunds will be at the discretion of Backyard Roots Ltd management and based on individual circumstances.

Disclaimer
With appreciation of the dangers and risks associated with programs and activities on my own behalf and/or on behalf of my child, I hereby fully and completely release and waive any and all claims for personal injury, death, or loss that may arise against Backyard Roots Limited, the activity coordinators, and all employees, volunteers, related parties, or other organisations associated with any program or activity. By enrolling my child/ren, myself or my family members in any programme or event, I accept all the conditions relating to the course.
